The Ateneo Alumni Association Canada hosts its 2nd Annual Golf Tournament in Pickering.

The AAAC held its second annual golf tournament (also called the Fr. Bonoan Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament) at the Seaton Golf and Country Club in Pickering, on June 13, 2001. This annual event, held on a sunny Wednesday, attracted over a hundred participants. Registration of participants started at 10:00 AM and prior to the actual tee-off, a number of participants joined in a putting contest, won by Tom Roidis and Philip Toribio. Participants teed off promptly at 11:00 A.M. and completed the course at 5:30 PM.

The golf tournament boasted of a large number of gift donors and hole sponsors, with the major sponsors being the Royal Bank of Canada (Business Banking) for the second year in a row, courtesy of avid supporter, Mila Dulatas, Ontario Power Generation and Ajax Jeep Eagle Ltd., the latter contributing a major prize (a brand new jeep for a hole in one). This event was graced by the presence of the following: MP Dan McTeague, Jenny Gould of the Royal Bank, Pickering Mayor Wayne Arthurs, Consul General of Indonesia, Medy Djufrie, Sylvia Marasigan, Philippine Consul, Ed Badajos, Philippine Consul, Toronto City Councilors Brian Ashton and Bas Balkissoon, and former Ajax Mayor Jim Witty.
